Moorlands Residents Association (MRA) are a group of dedicated tenants and residents who are passionate about our community and the place we all call home. We came together with similar ideals and hopes and with determination to ensure the place we call home is safe, clean, well maintained and as diverse as the community which dwells here.
When we formed in the latter part 2017, at our special meeting highlighted the need by our residents to focus on 6 core areas and to date we have been working to resolve these areas.
We are working with our housing provider to address the maintenance of our homes but this will take time so please support us as your voice counts as does your support.
Thank you for your support and please feel free to drop us a note below.
Hello, my name is Jeremiah Wiles, I have been a resident on the Moorlands for over 30 years. My family has 3 generations also living on the Moorlands. I got involved to ensure our community thrives and does not die as it has in some other estates. My role is currently the chair which involves attending meetings with the housing management teams, local government, and police teams and reports progress to the committee members. I relay your views/issues within meetings and agree on remedial action to get issues resolved.
These are also challenges for the housing provider, especially over the last year. But we need your input, please continue to keep the team updated on events or issues and attend the MRA meetings to keep us updated. Together as one.
We your residents association represent your views and issues impacting where we live.
This means there are regular meetings with the housing provider.
Areas we cover:
Estate Management (Cleaning & Communal repairs)
Maintenance (Pest control, Gas & Security)
Anti-Social Behaviour (Policing, Safer neighbourhoods)
Repairs (the repairs process, estate repairs)
Social wellbeing (Events, community services)
